Founder and CEO
Zvi Mowshowitz founded Balsa Research to forge evidence-based policy solutions. A writer and thinker known for exploring complex issues clearly while challenging assumptions, Zvi previously worked in finance and in competitive gaming and game design.
He started Balsa Research to model policy problems objectively, find viable solutions, and take action to enable change where existing groups have failed.
Jennifer Chen
Strategic Operations Lead
Jennifer Chen runs things day to day at Balsa Research. She has previous experience in non-profit operations, including project management, operational policy development, and information management. She has also previously worked in federal policy, and is eager to find some novel interventions before she is dragged back into that world.
In her off-time, she runs a weekly intellectual salon focused on the concepts of rationality.
